Louis Leland Jessop, Jr.

Louis Leland Jessop was born on May 4, 1959, and passed away on May 9, 2023, at Bennett County Hospital in Martin, S.D.

Louis was preceded in death by his mother, Ermine Jessop; father, Louis Jessop, Sr.; and his paternal and maternal grandparents.

He is remembered by his siblings, Lois, Lorn, Lilly, and Jordan; his children, Donell (Stuart) Bucholz, Michelle Jessop, Tyrell (Amanda) Jessop, Jenece (Tim) Jessop, Alan Michael Jessop, Teresa Jessop, and James (Jenn) Jessop; his grandchildren and great grandchildren and all other friends and family.

Louis lived a very free life and made many friends along the way. He left an impact on everyone he met. He would help anyone whenever he had the chance. He was born in Mobridge then moved to Buffalo Gap. He spent his childhood in Batesland and other surrounding areas. He enjoyed working on the oil rigs and at the CO-OP. He spent his final days living in Martin with his daughter, Donell and her family.
