Seeing what blindness is about

Rod Anderson’s human physiology students experienced a day of blindess on January 16. Participants were securely blindfolded and equipped with a white cane to experience the challenges of being blind.

Students spent the day maneuvering through their daily routine in an activity which has become an annual tradition.

The blind students also found their way to area businesses with the help of human “seeing eye dogs” by their sides.

Along with the frustration of not having sight, the students also managed to share a sense of humor, with many blindfolds having eyes drawn on.
